Description
Selling my 1987 Buick Grand National. Had completed numerous projects on this car through nine years of ownership. Invested thousands in the best aftermarket parts, kept all receipts. Despite being quite modified, it’s still street legal. The parts were more about fixing or improving where the car was lacking. This GN is unique for its model year and came with power windows, power door locks, and very rare Astro Roof option. One of the previous owners installed a GNX instrument cluster so the original mileage is unknown. I recently installed a VDO 160-mph speedometer. The car has original paint with some signs of paint cracking in areas shown in photos. The overall paint condition is good for its age and there’s no rusting. Some seals may need to be replaced. I garaged the car and kept it under a wrap the whole time. The car drives fine and is very fast but the next step would be a standalone ProEFI or XFI tune. The car currently runs on gen 6 after-market ECU and is stable with a good idle. All fluids had been changed as I was going through all car systems with the mods; that includes engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and brake fluid. The most recent upgrade was a set of Wilwood breaks. New Optima 34/78 battery (1000 cold amp cranking power) and 200-amp alternator. Also new AC compressor, condenser, and AC accumulator. The conversion is charged with R134a refrigerant. Some upgrades were done before my ownership, like hardened piston push rods. Here's a list of all the mods:
