I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable stage performances of the 1950's and 1960's ......... This is a rare programme (playbill) from the Original West End production of the ALAN JAY LERNER and FREDERICK LOEWE musical classic "MY FAIR LADY" which played the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London. (The Original Broadway production opened March 15th, 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in New York City and ran for 2717 performances. The London production opened April 30th, 1958 and ran for 2281 performances.) ..... The musical starred REX HARRISON as "Henry Higgins" and JULIE ANDREWS as "Eliza Doolittle", the roles they had originated on Broadway and featured STANLEY HOLLOWAY, ROBERT COOTE, ZENA DARE, LINDA GRAY, BETTY WOOLFE, MARGARET HALSTAN, LEONARD WEIR, BOB CHISHOLM, MAX OLDAKER, ALAN DUDLEY and ELAINE GARREAU ..... Also includes wonderful vintage advertising including three ads featuring tie-ins with JULIE ANDREWS and REX HARRISON ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing to the top right corner, this program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
